The FEI, which stands for the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI), held its World Cup finals this year at the Accor Hotels Arena in Paris, France from 11‑15 April 2018. Ellesse, born and raised in Malaysia, had studied and obtained a university degree in the US and then started her modeling career there. Eventually, she decided to move to Europe to pursue her true passion, dressage.
Her parents Agnes and Senett, who own and operate a rider’s lodge in Malaysia, confirmed that Ellesse is indeed the first Filipina and the first Southeast Asian ever to have been able to compete in FEI Dressage World Cup Finals. She is also the youngest among all the participants.
