24 July 2019, Marseille, France – The Philippine Embassy in France conducted its second consular outreach mission in the South of France for this year last weekend (on 20-21 July 2019) at the Radisson Blu Hotel Vieux Port in Marseille, France. Over 280 consular documents were processed and released including passports, notarials, certificates, as well as applications for dual citizenship and community cards.

Apart from the seven members of the consular team that traveled from Paris, the OWWA representative from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Madrid, Spain and the SSS & Pag-ibig representatives from Milan, Italy were also present at the outreach mission to provide their respective services to our kababayans residing in Marseille and nearby cities. A combined number of more than 230 applications were registered by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) based in Madrid, Spain, Social Security System Office based in Milan and Pag-IBIG Office based in Milan.

Marseille, almost 800 kilometers away from the Embassy in Paris, has been a regular site for the Philippine Embassy’s regular consular outreach missions due to the large concentration of Filipinos in the area. The Embassy intends to have another outreach mission in the South of France for 2019 and will continue to program this activity which benefits a large number of Filipinos in the years to come.
