The Philippine Embassy in Paris led by Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, and officers of the Order of the Knights of Rizal (Area of France) and Las Damas de Rizal grace the commemoration of Rizal Day with a flag-raising ceremony at the Embassy grounds on 30 December 2019.
30 December 2019, Paris – The Embassy of the Philippines in Paris, together with the Order of Knights of Rizal (Area of France) and Las Damas de Rizal celebrated the 123rd Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal at the Embassy grounds on 30 December 2019.
In her address, Ambassador Ma. Theresa Lazaro expressed appreciation for the continued support of the Knights of Rizal (KOR) for the activities of the Embassy. She added that the Embassy’s proposal of installing a bust of Dr. Jose Rizal at the 9th District of Paris in 2020 will be the best projection of the greatness of the Filipino people.

The event commenced with the singing of the Philippine national anthem, and wreath-laying ceremony and followed by the program of the Knights of Rizal. It was well attended by the Philippine Embassy officers and staff and leaders of the Filipino Community. END
