Inauguration of the Newly Renovated Chancery

26 January 2014, Paris, France. The newly renovated consular section of the Philippine Embassy in Paris was formally inaugurated today. Leading the ribbon cutting ceremony were Her Excellency Ambassador Cristina G. Ortega, Mr. Jean Baptiste, Director of ABR-ViciBâtiment, contractor of the project, Msgr. Don Vito Pavilando and officials and staff of the Philippine Embassy. Present during the inauguration were leaders and members of various Philippine community associations in Paris. Ambassador Ortega hailed the inauguration of the new and improved space as testament to the Philippine government’s desire to provide excellent service to its people both in and outside of the country. She expressed gratitude to all those who worked tirelessly for the renovation of the consular section. The Ambassador informed everyone that this project is part of a four-phase renovation of the entire chancery. 

Mr. Baptiste also expressed gratitude to Ambassador Ortega for the cooperation and partnership the Embassy has with their company. He said his company will continue to provide support to the renovation project of the Embassy. A blessing of the consular section and other parts of the Embassy was also done right after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
