GUIDELINES FOR MASS MEDIA ACCREDITATION IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONDUCT OF OVERSEAS ABSENTEE VOTING UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9189, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “THE OVERSEAS ABSENTEE VOTING ACT OF 2003” AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10590 FOR PURPOSES OF THE MAY 13, 2019 NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS (Resolution No. 10498)
Media entities that wish to observe and report on election events and processes during the 13 May 2019 Philippine National Elections may apply for accreditation. Media are advised to be guided by the following accreditation procedures:
Requirements for Accreditation
1. Fully accomplished Accreditation Application Form (click here to download);
2. Two (2) recently taken, 2”X2” colored photographs and one (1) recently taken 1"X1" colored photograph; and
3. Endorsement from the newspaper, television, radio station, or internet news agency employing the applicant.
Filing of application for accreditation
The period for filing applications for accreditation is from 15 February 2019 to 31 March 2019. This period shall be non-extendible. Applications filed after the last day for filing shall not be entertained. Applications shall be personally filed at the Philippine Embassy in Paris during office hours.
Approval and Certification
Applications for accreditation shall be subject to approval of the Head of the Foreign Post. Media Card will be issued to accredited media representative(s). Media Cards are non-transferable and valid only for the purpose for which it was issued.
