Embassy News

04 December 2023, Paris – The Philippine Embassy, in partnership with the 17th district of Paris and Pinoy Jam Paris (PJP), started the Yuletide celebration with a free Christmas concert.
Dubbed “A Christmas Full of Hope,” the concert brought together members of the Filipino community and French nationals who were treated to Filipino, English and French Christmas carols.
The Ambassador, addressing the non-Filipinos in the audience, likened their presence to “kinship and the privilege of belonging to an extended Filipino family which is the true essence of the Christmas spirit we bring to Paris, offering you a taste of our festive celebrations back home.”

The representative of Mayor Geoffroy Boulard, Mr Jean-Didier Berthault, Advisor in charge of European and international affairs and relations with metropolitan unions, welcomed the partnership with the Embassy and PJP, and expressed interest in deepening his knowledge of the Philippines and its culture.
The show was fully booked, with over  200 members of the audience enthralled by choral and solo performances which culminated with an original composition  entitled  “Pasko na, C'est Noel” by PJP members Angelica Shane Reyes and Joseph Michael Torrijos.

The Ambassador also donated a copy of the book to the Mairie du 17eme arrondissement as a reference on Philippines-France bilateral relations.
